Does anyone have some ';original'; coffee cake recipes?

I'd like to make a coffee cake, but I don't want any ';fancy smancy'; recipes, hehe.

Easy %26amp; Delicious Cinnamon Coffee Cake





Prep Time: 5 minutes


Cook Time: 22 minutes





Ingredients:


1/2 cup chopped pecans, divided


1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar


1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened


1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


1 teaspoon vanilla


One package of 8 refrigerated breadsticks





Vanilla Glaze (recipe below)





Preparation:





Combine half the nuts with the powdered sugar, margarine, cinnamon and vanilla. Unroll breadsticks, but do not separate. Fold in half lengthwise then seal long edges. Gently stretch dough to a 24-inch strip. Twist slightly and shape into a circle on ungreased baking sheet. Seal ends. Bake in 350掳 oven 20 to 22 minutes or until golden. Cool slightly. Drizzle coffee cake with Vanilla Glaze. Sprinkle with remaining nuts and serve warm. Coffee cake recipe makes about 8 servings.





Vanilla Glaze: In a small mixing bowl combine 1/2 cup sifted confectioners' sugar with 2 teaspoons milk and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla. Stir glaze until smooth; drizzle over coffee cake.



Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake





1/2 cup butter, softened


1 cup white sugar


2 eggs


1 cup sour cream


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour


1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder


1 teaspoon baking soda





1 cup semisweet chocolate chips


1/2 cup white sugar


1 teaspoon ground cinnamon








Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.


In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and soda. Set aside.


In a large bowl, cream the butter and 1 cup of sugar. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Mix well.


Add the flour mixture and combine. Batter will be thick.


In a separate bowl, combine chocolate chips, 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.


Spread half of the cake batter in prepared 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle half of the chocolate chip mixture over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter, and then the remaining chocolate chip mixture.


Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

Cinnamon Coffee Cake





1 cup butter


2 3/4 cups white sugar


4 eggs


2 teaspoons baking powder


1 teaspoon baking soda


1 teaspoon salt


2 cups sour cream


1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts


2 tablespoons ground cinnamon


2 teaspoons vanilla extract


4 cups all-purpose flour








Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease one 10 inch tube pan.


In a large mixing bowl cream together the butter or margarine and 2 cups of the sugar until fluffy. Add the vanilla and the eggs one at time beating mixture well after each egg.


Combine flour with baking powder and baking soda. Add alternately with sour cream to egg mixture. Beating just enough after each addition to keep batter smooth.


Combine walnuts, cinnamon, and remaining 3/4 cup of sugar.


Spoon 1/3 of the batter into prepared pan, sprinkle with 1/3 of the walnut mixture. Repeat layers two more times.


Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 70 minutes or until center is done. Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes then remove pan and let cake continue cooling on a wire rack.

Cherry Almond Coffeecake





1 cup sour cream


1/4 cup water


3 eggs


1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix


1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling


1/4 cup sliced almonds


1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar


2 tablespoons milk


1 dash vegetable oil





Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Generously grease and flour one 15 1/2x 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan.


Mix sour cream, water and eggs. Stir in cake mix until moistened. You will notice the batter will be lumpy. Spread into pan. Drop pie filling by large spoonfuls onto batter.


Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 minutes or until cake tests done. Sprinkle cake with almonds and drizzle with glaze.


To Make Glaze: Mix confectioner's sugar, milk and vegetable oil. Stir in a few extra drops of milk if necessary. Stir until mixture is smooth and of a desired consistency. Drizzle over still warm cake.

1 1/2 cups sugar (divided)

2 cups flour


1 tsp baking powder


1 tsp baking soda


1/3 cup chopped walnuts or pecans


1 tsp cinnamon


Melt butter and add 1 cup of the sugar and stir with 2 eggs, sour cream, and vanilla.


In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda.


Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.


In a small bowl, mix remaining 1/2 cup of sugar with nuts and cinnamon.


Pour 1/2 batter in a greased 9 x 9 baking dish, sprinkle with 1/2 of the sugar and nuts mixture


then put the rest of the batter on top and the remaining sugar and nuts mixture.


Bake at 325潞 for 50 minutes.
