What are some good cookie/cake recipes?

I would like some dessert delight recipes. I can't think. Brain numb and good ideas won't come! Please help! What are some good cookie/cake recipes?
BEST SOFT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

INGREDIENTS

4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

2 cups butter, softened

1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix

4 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

4 cups semisweet chocolate chips

2 cups chopped walnuts (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.

Whenever I make these cookies I have a hard time keeping them because people just steal them off of the pan. I also had a hard time burning these cookies, I left them in the oven for about 5+ extra minutes, because I was busy with something else, and they still didn't burn. Also, I like to put 1 1/2 tablespoons of vanilla extract instead of just 2 teaspoons. Depending on how big you make the cookies, this recipe makes about 72 cookies. What are some good cookie/cake recipes?

Chocolate Earthquake Cake

1 cup chopped pecans

1 (3.5 oz.) can sweetened flaked coconut

1 box german chocolate cake mix batter (follow directions on back of box)

1/2 cup margarine

8 oz. cream cheese softened

1 (1 lb.) box of confectioner's sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9x12 inch cake pan. Cover bottom of pan with nuts and coconut. Pour cake batter on top. Melt margarine in bowl; add cream cheese and sugar. Stir to blend. Spoon over unbaked batter. Bake 40 to 42 minutes.

You cannot test for doneness as the cake will appear sticky, even when it is done. The icing will sink in to the batter, forming a white ribbon inside.

This cake is really rich and good!
