Homemade Angel Food Cake





18 egg whites


2 teaspoons cream of tartar


1 pinch salt


1 1/2 cups white sugar


1 cup cake flour


1/2 cup confectioners' sugar


1 teaspoon vanilla extract





DIRECTIONS


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift cake flour and confectioners sugar together 5 times and set aside.


In a large clean bowl, whip egg whites with a pinch of salt until foamy. Add cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar while beating, and continue to beat until very stiff. Add vanilla.


Quickly fold in flour mixture. Pour into a 10 inch tube pan.


Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes.

INGREDIENTS


1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed


1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix


1 cup milk


1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions


鈥?Place a thick bottomed pan on very low flame and melt butter in it.


鈥?Remove from the flame and let the butter cool.


鈥?Add condensed milk and mix well.


鈥?Sift maida, cocoa powder, baking powder, cooking soda and salt together.


鈥?Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.


鈥?Grease a baking tray with little butter.


鈥?Dust it with maida and keep it aside.


鈥?Take a pan with little butter and put the maida mixture with the condensed milk-butter mixture.


鈥?Now add aerated cola and mix it well.


鈥?Pour the batter into the greased baking tray and bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 150 degrees C.


鈥?When it is done, let it cool and then slit it horizontally into two.


鈥?Whip the cream till light and fluffy.


鈥?Sandwich the two layers of cake with whipped cream and designed cherries.
